The client work is described without names, and that is the only part you have to take my word for.

How it works

No mystery, no meter running.

  1. You describe the problem in plain words. Screenshots, a link, a rant. Whatever you have. I will ask the questions that matter.
  2. You get a written scope and a number. Fixed quotes for defined jobs, a day rate for open-ended ones, and the difference explained before you commit to anything.
  3. I build it, and show working. Progress you can see, in plain language, at a cadence we agree. No jargon walls, no "trust me".
  4. You own everything at the end. Your domain, your hosting, your accounts, your code. If I got hit by a bus tomorrow, you would lose nothing but my company.

Do you only work in Adelaide?
I am based in Adelaide and work remotely for clients anywhere in Australia. Delivering for a miner, a police force and a federal department means distributed teams are the water I swim in; remote is not a compromise, it is the normal way this work gets done.
What do you charge?
Defined jobs get a fixed quote before I start, so the risk of my estimate being wrong sits with me, not you. Open-ended work runs on a day rate agreed up front. Either way you get the number in writing first, and no invoice ever surprises you.
Are you an agency?
No. One person, senior, doing both the working-out and the building. That is the point: nothing gets lost in a handover between the person who scoped your job and the person who does it, because they are the same person.
Can you take over from another developer?
Yes, and without the theatre of rubbishing their work. Most of my career has been walking into things mid-flight and working out what the last person meant. See project rescues.
Will you take my job?
Maybe. I take on a few projects at a time, by choice, and pick for fit rather than filling a pipeline: a real problem, an owner who can decide, done properly over done cheapest. The work with me page has the filter in the open; either way you get a straight answer quickly.
Will I be locked in to you?
The opposite. Everything is built in your accounts under your ownership, documented so the next developer can pick it up, and I will happily hand over to an in-house hire when you grow into one.
