What would yours cost?

Answer a few plain questions and get an honest range on the spot, built from typical Australian market pricing for work shaped like yours. It is an estimate, not a quote: the quote is fixed, in writing, after a short conversation, and it stays inside what you can hold me to.

How the numbers work

Honest, or not worth gating.

  • The ranges are market-typical, assembled from what work shaped like yours commonly costs in Australia from an independent senior developer, and kept wide on purpose: your specifics narrow them, and only a conversation earns a single number.
  • The range narrows once the job is specified, and not before. A wide quote is a sign nobody has worked out what is being built yet, which is also what makes projects overrun.
  • Your details go to me, once. No list, no automation sequence, no reselling. At most one follow-up email or call, then silence unless you want more.
  • Sometimes the honest output is "don't spend it": several paths in this calculator will tell you a cheaper option fits better, because that is what I would say on the phone.

Fair questions

About the calculator.

Is the number a quote?
No. It is an honest range for work shaped like yours. The quote is fixed, in writing, after a short conversation, and no invoice ever surprises you.
Why the email and phone before the estimate?
Because an estimate without a conversation is where projects stall, and one short follow-up is how I can actually help. The estimate appears immediately either way, and your details are never listed, dripped on or sold.
My project doesn't fit the options.
Then it is interesting, which is my favourite kind. Describe it in plain words and you will get a straight answer, including "cheaper than you think" and "bigger than you hope" when they are true.
Where do the longer written answers live?
The answers hub covers costs and forty other questions in prose: what drives website, app, AI, CRM, store and custom software pricing, and when to spend nothing.
